Who we are
We combine sovereign geo-intelligence with institutional experience and hyperlocal data. Our team includes the architects behind early Google Maps, as well as the developers behind Switzerland's SBB Smart Ticketing system. Together, we're a team of engineers, designers, and business experts united by a clear conviction: location data can be used and presented better. Our goal is to shape hyperlocal data so it responds to the needs of the people using it.
How we work
Small team, full ownership. Everyone touches the product end to end, from data pipelines to pixel-level UI decisions.
Zurich first, then everywhere. We're building deep before we build wide. Zurich is our proving ground and its data infrastructure and urban form make it the ideal testbed for what we're building.
How we use AI
LiveMap uses open source large language models (LLMs) to understand user intent and build customised experiences within the application. We continuously evaluate different models, but prioritise open source ones that we will be able to run on our own infrastructure in the future. Until then, we partner with Swiss-owned companies that host AI-models exclusively in Switzerland.
